2 bedroom vacation condo for 1 week sleeps 6 GRAND BAHAMAS, Freeport!
Price: $600

Type: Vacation, For Sale - Private.

Available - 2 bedroom condo timeshare unit in Freeport, Grand Bahamas Island at Island Seas Resort. www.IslandSeas.com
We have been owners for nearly 10 years at Island Seas Resort on the Grand Bahamas Island and love it so much there; that after we bought our One Bedroom OCEAN FRONT unit we turned around a year later and bought a 2nd unit - a two bedroom unit. I have listed BOTH of them for use this year -
The two bedroom unit will sleep up to 6 people; and one week when we stayed - we never slept in the bedroom - but instead on the pull out couch which is perfectly situated right in front of the sliding glass door onto the balcony and we enjoyed listening to the ocean all day and night long and not the AC unit - so we never used the bedroom; the pull out couch is THAT comfortable. But, in the past 3 years unfortunately due to multiple family crisis, Dad had a stroke, Mom was terminal and on Hospice but held on for 19 months, etc and now this year we are moving from Las Vegas to Florida to be closer to Dad to help him - I just don't see how it is going to fit into the schedule yet again - which is SO disappointing to me.
The week of Christmas to over the New Years they hold a festival, which is absolutely incredible - JUNKANOO where they "bury the old year and give birth to the New" and we went over early in the daytime around 2-3 pm and did not get home until well after 2 am - the parade goes on for hours and each and every costume MUST be handmade - they are the most absolute gorgeous pieces of art that I have ever seen - then at the end of the parade, the marshalls watch them as each participant MUST throw their entire costume into a parking lot; so as never to be used again. Each one of these must take 100 hours or so to make, just the head pieces alone. They were nice enough to allow me to take two pieces, which I carried back on the boat with me and then shipped home for over $200 in expense but WELL WORTH IT when you look at the detail work, it is amazing and the majority of it is done by YOUTH groups! It is outstanding.
But I have BOTH units available for someone to use this year, with a saddened heart. Perfect location for a family reunion or for this price; take the entire family and get away - both units together will hold 10 adults w/o lots and lots of room to spare!
The two bedroom unit has TWO distinct separate rooms, a complete kitchen, dining room, living room, TVs in each bedroom and Living Room - see photos of interior/exterior on their website - it is BEAUTIFUL! I am deeded to the OCEAN Side of the Time Share not the marina side; so it is only steps away to the beach!
Please check their website for lots and lots of photos and details and I can certainly email you some outstanding photos of Junkanoo Festival photos. They do charge I believe $200 more/week for that week to the timeshare owner; so if that is the week you choose, whatever they charge me extra I will have to pass that cost onto you direct as a pass thru, no upcharge, etc.
The nightly rates at Island Seas are over $175/night for a two bedroom unit as I just checked their rates and then higher for the time period between Christmas and New Years for Junkanoo - well worth it and 10x more.
I can copy and paste all the details from their website here; but that doesn't seem to make much sense. Please go to www.islandseas.com and look over the timeshare entire website, all the activities, as they have a full time activity director and one night is karaoke, bingo, they always have something going. The kitchen comes complete with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc - I do have my own checklist I can share with you of what I take over every year, like extra dish soap which is easy since they have those tablets now, same for the dishwasher tablets. I also buy the laundry sheets/dryer sheets and take those over with me instead of buying from their machines but they do have FREE washer/dryer use for the guests too so you don't need to take much over - a few bathing suits, a few beach towels (they provide regular towels, etc) shorts, total leisure clothes. We used to take over nice clothes thinking glamour, but after 4 days in the laid back world there - we never bothered with that again. There are good food "pop up" facilities along the beach that seem to change every year and every year we have met more and more friends from all over that we still keep in touch with; just a great group of people. They have an Activity center that can arrange snorkeling, scuba diving etc but I would recommend doing that on your own via the internet as it is MUCH cheaper; same with rental car. It is so easy to find all of this on the internet; you need not pay 30-50% more to have them arrange it for you -
We will gladly give you all the tips and tricks like the Locals Fish Fry EVERY Wednesday night - for like $8 and you feel like Thanksgiving when you leave and the incredible music all around you - we know basically where all the locals go to during the week and they are SO friendly over there - there economy is 95% tourism so they know IF they don't treat the tourist right and bend over backwards for us; they will lose their jobs if tourism goes down. There are NO guns permitted whatsoever, except for a few select Police Officers - so safety is NOT a problem at all. Island Seas is gated and guarded 24/7 too.
We have done extensive traveling, but this is by far my favorite place;
because the tone sets everything and you have no choice but to relax - they do move in slow motion over there and the first few times I was angry a bit; but now I look forward to it they live LONG HEALTHY lives over there; because they do not stress out about anything. But if you want/need anything - they will do whatever it takes to please you.
The price I am charging is LESS than what we pay for the yearly mainenance fees but I just want to make sure that someone uses the unit and enjoys it this year. They accept new guests on FRI, SAT or SUN ONLY - and check out is the same day the following week.
This price is for the ENTIRE WEEK - you will need to make arrangements to get to Ft. Lauderdale and then take the Ferry Boat/Catamarran over to the Island which is 55 miles off shore of Ft. Lauderdale OR you can fly directly into Freeport, which is usually more expensive. We stay at the same motel usually the night before and can provide you with all the details if you purchase this ONE WEEK VACATION in the Grand Bahamas - 7 nights for $600 - Even living in Las Vegas, you cannot beat this deal!
Please email me with ANY questions... if 6 adults go this is $100 PER person/ PER WEEK for you to be in the SUN, incredibly WARM waters of the Bahamas - for $100 per person!!!! Where can you go for that... and this is heaven. I will gladly share photos with you IF you want to go during Junkanoo Festival - SPECTACULAR!
The Grand Bahamas does NOT have a zip code, hence why I had to use a Florida one - they only have one Post Office, beautiful building and the residents each have a PO Box - but NO zip code.... that is why it has a Florida address connected to this ad. I am the timeshare owner, not a realtor or timeshare seller, etc.
